What Is Emergency Medical Science A.A.S.?
The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Emergency Medical Science is the result of formal agreements between St. Charles Community College (SCC), as well as an agreement between SCC and St. Charles County Ambulance District (SCCAD). SCC grants 30 credit hours toward the A.A.S. degree for students who submit proof of passing the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Exam for paramedics. These credit hours will be applied to the degree once all general education courses have been completed. Students may begin taking the general education courses required for the A.A.S. at SCC at any time.
