What is Missouri’s Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant?
The Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant is a new financial aid program for non-traditional students that addresses workforce needs by helping adults pursue a certificate, degree or industry-recognized credential in an area designated as high need. The program offers flexibility by providing assistance to part-time and full-time students.
Am I eligible?
- I meet one of the following criteria:
- I am 25 years or older, or
- I am a new student, and I have not enrolled in an educational program (high school or post-secondary) in the last two years, or
- I am an apprentice, and I have not been enrolled in a post-secondary program in the last two years (exception if the program relates to current apprenticeship).
- I have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree
- I plan to enroll in an eligible program at least half-time (6 credit hours or more)
- I am a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- I have been a Missouri resident for at least two years, or
- I am an active duty member of the U.S. military who transferred to Missouri, or
- I am the spouse of an active duty member of the U.S. military who transferred to Missouri.
- I have filed or plan to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
- My Federal Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from my most recent MO tax return is:
- $80,000 or less (filing status married filing jointly), or
- $40,000 or less (any other filing status)
How much can I receive?
- The Fast Track Grant is designed to ensure, when combined with other governmental financial aid, that tuition and fees are fully covered.
- Awards will apply to any remaining tuition and fees not covered by other state and federal student aid programs.
- For individuals for which other aid covers the full tuition and fee costs, students are eligible for an award of up to $500 to cover other education-related expenses.

1: Complete the College application*
* Remember to complete all aspects for the application and admission process. We will send you an email with after you apply.
2: Select an eligible program.
3: File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
4: Complete the Fast Track application.
Renewal Criteria
- Students must re-apply annually by completing the FAST Track Application.
- This grant may be renewed by meeting all of the initial requirements and by making satisfactory progress, which includes maintaining at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
