Trey Klotz

Trey Klotz originally started his college journey in Dallas, Texas, but when money became tight, he searched for a more affordable option closer to home. He enrolled at St. Charles Community College in spring 2017.

“I’ve known exactly what I want to do since I was very small – make video games.”   

Trey says he knows that the video game field is becoming saturated, so majoring in computer science allows him to gain knowledge and specialties other than just making a good game. 

“My advisor Kat Keating and professor Rex McKanry got me on the right track at SCC. They guided me better than any other advisor I’ve talked to at the three colleges I attended previously. SCC just has a great environment to learn.”

With their guidance, Trey is on track to graduate this fall.

“Calculus 3 is the final class I have to take to get my associate degree. I plan on working full-time while I finish this degree, and then I’ll get started on my bachelor’s degree at University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL).”
