Gloria Bosire

Gloria Bosire, an international student, joined the SCC community in January 2017 after her sponsor suggested it.

“I plan on doing the nursing program at SCC,” Gloria said. “I’ve wanted to be a pediatrician since I was young. I want to inspire people to spread love through everything they do.” 

Though Gloria is just now starting her second semester at SCC, she is already very active on campus. She is a member of both SCC’s Global Student Network and Phi Theta Kappa chapter. She hopes to continue to become even more involved with campus clubs during her time at SCC. 

“SCC has helped me get great exposure as an international student. It has helped me learn and embrace the American education system which is very different from what I did back in my own country. It has also helped me become more independent.”  

Gloria plans on finishing her associate degree at SCC and then transferring to a four-year university to get her bachelor’s degree. She hopes to eventually earn a master’s degree in nursing. 

“I would recommend my friends to attend SCC because the teachers are very friendly and want to help everyone attain their dreams. I found them very inspiring.”
