Ahad Hosseini
Ahad Hosseini
With dreams of combining careers like life coach, personal chef, consultant, venture capitalist and father, Ahad Hosseini knew education would be an important first step in achieving his goals.
He enrolled at SCC as the logical next step.
“Working full-time as an Apple specialist and going to SCC full-time was an incredible first-year college experience,” Ahad said.
After SCC, he transferred to University of Missouri (MU), where he pursued a degree in industrial and manufacturing system engineering in hopes of landing a job at a major international engineering consulting firm.
“Without a doubt, the quality of education at the majority of my classes at SCC were far above MU general education courses,” Ahad said. “I absolutely have and would continue to recommend SCC as an alternative.”
His interests grew to include sales engineering; various social justice, inclusion and diversity initiatives; and relationship and sexual violence prevention education. He got involved by joining committees for One Mizzou, Missouri Student’s Association-Multicultural Issues and Show Me Respect Project.
“Being heavily involved in many diversity-related organization and initiatives has given me insight that is a privilege in and of itself,” he said. “That being said, no cause has instilled more positive change on my perspective than my experience with the Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center.”
During his last semester at MU, Ahad achieved one of his goals by accepting a position with Black & Veatch as a management consultant. It is just one positive step, of many, Ahad plans to take moving forward.
