St. Charles Community College Athletics finished another successful spring season of sports. This season's teams worked hard, and history was made!
The Men’s Baseball team wrapped up a great season with a winning record, finishing with 33 wins and 27 losses for the year. They were the first team to win 30-plus games in a season since 2008 and lead the country in SB’s (stolen bases) as an offense, breaking the college record. The team won three consecutive Region 16 Sub-Regional wins for the first time in SCC history. Sam Myers was awarded 1st Team All-Region, while Drew Cornelison, Grant Huebner, and Justin Massingale were each awarded 2nd Team All-Region.
The Women’s Softball team posted one of the college's best starts to a season, starting off 16-4-1. The team finished the season with 26 wins, which is the 2nd highest number of wins in a season in college history and the most since 2003. Jocelyn Cunningham and Emily Geary both received All-Region honors. Hunter Collins will leave SCC as one of the best hitters in college history, placing in the top five in numerous offensive categories.
