Mental Health and Wellness Week kicks off March 30

Because one in three college freshmen struggles with mental health, St. Charles Community College will host Mental Health and Wellness Week from Monday, March 30, through Thursday, April 2.
All events will take place in the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building unless otherwise stated.
The schedule will be as follows:
- All day Monday-Thursday, March 30-April 2
Bead display
Beads are available for people who have been affected by suicide. Each color of beads represent different loved ones lost to suicide (friend, parent, child, spouse, partner, sibling, etc.) - 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday, March 30
Drug take back
Have any prescription medications that are expired or you no longer need? Bring them in, and we’ll safely collect and dispose of them for you.
- 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 31
Therapy dogs
De-stress by hanging out with therapy dogs. They love it just as much as you do! - 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesday, March 31
Mental health screening
The Office of Student Life will be providing free depression, anxiety and PTSD screenings to promote early detection and treatment of mood disorders. Like many physical illnesses, early recognition and treatment offers the best opportunity for recovery from mental illness. - 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesday, March 31
Coloring station
Express your artistic side! Come color with us or pick up some adult coloring pages to take with you for later. Adult coloring pages with inspirational quotes and colored pencils will be provided. - 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1
“Stress Management 101”
Did you know not all stress is bad? Come learn the benefits of stress and how stress can motivate you while learning effective ways to manage stress and prevent burnout. - 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 1 – Dardenne Creek Campus
