Center Stage Theatre’s production of ‘The Laramie Project’ set for April 24-28

Center Stage Theatre will present their production of “The Laramie Project” April 24-28 at St. Charles Community College in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater.
Performances will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, April 24-27; 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25; and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28. SCC students are able to attend the play for free with proof of ID. The general public can purchase tickets for $5-8 at stchastickets.universitytickets.com. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.
This gripping play concerns Americans’ reaction to the murder of Matthew Shepard in October 1998. Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die in Laramie, Wyo. Moises Kaufman and others went to Laramie and conducted more than 200 interviews about the event, from which they wrote “The Laramie Project.” The Tectonic Theater Project helped create this piece.
This performance of “The Laramie Project” is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc. Samantha Stavely will direct the performances. Set and lighting design is by Jeff Roop, and costume design is by Jane Bagnall.
The cast includes David Amrhein, Rachel Bohn, Jim Dishian, Jordan Dennis, Johnny Dishian, Andrew Edmonston, Dane Harris, Jasminn Jones, Jacob Krznar, Kat Leffler, Amanda May, Travis McIntyre, Angela McNeil, Mia Millican, Joshua David Neighbors, Mia Politte, Gabby Rivera, Braden Stille, Graham Woodward and Peggy Woodward.
