Second Spring eight-week registration is open at SCC
Published: 02/13/2018
St. Charles Community College’s Second Spring enrollment for eight-week courses is underway. Second Spring classes are for students who may have missed spring registration or didn’t get the classes they initially wanted this semester.
Second Spring eight-week classes offer the same curriculum and number of credits, but can be completed in a shorter timeframe.
General education and prerequisite courses start March 9 and end May 14. Classes include history, criminal justice, biology, art, English, business, psychology, fitness and more. Options are available both on campus and online.
“Second Spring classes provide new opportunities for our students to reach their educational goals,” said Barbara Kavalier, Ph.D., SCC president.
Regular registration hours are 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday.
Most of these courses can easily be transferred to different institutions, so even non-SCC students can pick up a class this spring, college officials said.
In addition to quality academic programs, SCC provides support and resources to encourage student success that include financial assistance, scholarship options, a free on-campus tutoring center, veteran’s resources, accessibility services, career guidance, and a number of clubs, activities, sports and events.
