Body Work art exhibit to feature multimedia, invitational art at SCC Oct. 8-Nov. 9
Published: 10/05/2018
St. Charles Community College will display the artwork of eight diverse, regional artists who use the human figure as the primary subject of their art Oct. 8-Nov. 9 in the Body Work art exhibit. Natalie Baldeon, Nicole Cooper, Dominic Finnochio, Connie LaFlam, Jordan McGirk, David Ottinger, Elizabeth Sheck and Shanlin Ye will be featured in the gallery of the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building.
Working in painting, drawing or photography, each artist engages the viewer to understand the different ways the human figure can be understood in different environments, narratives and traditions of fine art.
An artist's reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. The gallery is located in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building. Parking for patrons is free in the campus Blue and Yellow lots.
