CHOMP Regional Food Truck, Music and Film Festival to be held May 19 at SCC

CHOMP Regional Food Truck and Music Festival will be held Friday, May 19, at St. Charles Community College. The festival kicks off the 2017 series of Food Truck Frolic and Family Movie Nights to be held on Fridays, June 23, July 21, Aug. 25 and Sept. 22.

St. Charles Community College will welcome up to 30 food trucks to campus as part of the CHOMP Regional Food Truck, Music and Film Festival on Friday, May 19.

CHOMP will be held from 5-10 p.m., featuring up to 30 food trucks competing for prizes. Guests will also enjoy live music, arts and other vendors, all on SCC’s Blue Parking Lot.

“We invite all of our friends and neighbors out to support a great cause – your community and your community college,” said Wendy Berry, executive director for the Cottleville-Weldon Spring Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to be teaming this year with the SCC Foundation to present CHOMP and the Food Truck Frolic and Family Movie Night series.”

There is no cover charge for CHOMP. 

Leading the events is a volunteer planning committee chaired by Don Kalicak, vice president for regional development at Mercy and SCC Foundation board member. Board members from both the SCC Foundation and the CWS Chamber are teaming to help with the events.
