Published: 06/23/2016
St. Charles Community College will host an exhibit featuring artwork from its Continuing Education students and instructors July 18-Aug. 4. The show, titled “Art Extravaganza,” will be in the gallery of the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building on the SCC campus in Cottleville.
The gallery will feature artwork from students of all ages who have participated in the Continuing Education Department’s 2014-2016 classes and summer camps, as well as their instructors.
Meet the artists and instructors at a reception from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, in the Fine Arts Building gallery.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
The exhibition is open to all who have attended an SCC Continuing Education art, craft, photography or computer design class in the past 24 months. Artwork must be original work created by the artist within the past two years and not previously shown at SCC.
Those interested in showcasing their work can submit up to five works. Acceptance is dependent on the number of overall entries and space available. Entry forms must be received by the Continuing Education office in the John M. McGuire Humanities Building, Room 103, by Friday, July 8.
This not a juried show, and there is no entry fee.
