SCC Women’s Soccer player Madison Jarrell signs for William Woods

Madison Jarrell becomes the third St. Charles Community College women’s soccer player to continue her playing career at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. She signed her national letter of intent with William Woods on Feb. 2.

Jarrell was instrumental in SCC’s past two winning seasons, adding a trip to the National Tournament her freshman year.

“Madi was a huge asset to the team, on and off the field,” said Josh Tyler, SCC women’s soccer head coach. “She is just an all-around great person and a joy to be around. Having a player who can play just about anywhere is so important.”

Starting in 29 of the 39 games she played, Jarrell was one of the few players who saw the field every game the past two seasons for SCC. As a utility player, Jarrell had the ability to play almost anywhere on the field, said Tyler. She played the bulk of her time as a wing midfield but also saw action as a central midfielder and defender.

William Woods University Owls are coached by Randy Hall, seventh-year head coach. In 2015, Coach Hall led the Owls to an NAIA National Championship appearance. 

“Madi is a really well-rounded soccer player with a great personality and work ethic,” Hall said. “We look forward to seeing her be the next successful SCC player in our program and are excited to include her in our 2016 class.”
