Center Stage Theatre to present ‘Lend Me a Tenor’ March 2-6
Published: 02/22/2016
St. Charles Community College’s Center Stage Theatre will present Lend Me a Tenor March 2-6, in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus.
The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, March 2-5; 10 a.m. Thursday, March 3; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6. Tickets are free to SCC students with ID, or $8 general admission and $6 seniors, veterans and students. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.
The harried impresario, the haughty socialite board chair, the Italian superstar opera singer, his shrewish wife and the young lovers all get farcical treatment in Lend Me a Tenor, a non-stop, door-slamming, hilarious comedy. Set in a fancy hotel suite in 1934, the Cleveland Opera Company is poised to present the world-famous tenor, Tito Morelli, as the lead in their history-making production of Othello.
The cast includes Becky Loughridge and Justin Spurgeon of St. Peters, Kathy Bredenkoetter and Scott Theis of St. Charles, Anthony Jones of Cottleville, Tom Duggan of Defiance and Laura Gibbons of St. Louis.
