SCC to host Comedy Night Feb. 6
Published: 01/22/2016
Comedians Paul Varghese and Lafayette Wright will headline St. Charles Community College</a>’s Comedy Night on Saturday, Feb. 6. The show begins at 7 p.m. in the theater of the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building on the SCC campus in Cottleville.
Paul Varghese has been seen on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Showtime's Russell Peters Presents, Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and Stand-up Revolution. He opened for Dave Chappelle in his mini-tour through Texas in 2012 and is a previous winner of the Funniest Comic in Texas Competition and the Laughing Skull Comedy Competition. He also has an album out on iTunes called Paul and Oates.
Lafayette Wright has spent close to a decade honing his skill as a favorite on the DC Comedy scene. He has now taken his talents to New York City's comedy scene where he hopes to use his act and undeniable onstage likability to find a place where he belongs in the world of stand-up comedy. With a comedic style that has been described as "flowing like water," Wright is set to do just that.
The show is rated PG-13. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for SCC students with a valid ID. Purchase tickets online at stchastickets.com or through the SCC box office at 636-922-8050.
