SCC to host free community Job Fair on May 1
Published: 04/06/2015
This fair provides opportunities for job seekers to find job leads, job training and job search information and networking opportunities. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resume.
“Job Fair 2015 is a great opportunity for students to put themselves out there and see what jobs are available,” said Martha Toebeen, SCC career services manager. “The Job Fair also provides employers the opportunity to access all the best job candidates in the area – both SCC students and non-students alike.”
Employer registrations are now being accepted for the Job Fair 2015. The fair is open to business and industry employers from profit and non-profit organizations.
“As far as job fairs go, SCC’s is one of our favorites to attend,” said Rolf Rathmann, staffing manager at Service Stars. “The pool of people that attend have some great attributes and really seem hungry for work.”
The annual event is sponsored by three cooperating St. Charles County agencies and institutions. Last year, more than 543 area job seekers attended the event.
A registration fee of $70 for non-profit organizations or $95 for profit organizations includes one 2.5’x6’ table, two chairs, a continental breakfast, up to two box lunches and all advertising for the event.
Employers may download a registration form at www.stchas.edu/jobfair. Space is limited, and employer registrations will be accepted until Friday, April 24. For more information about the fair, contact Martha Toebben at 636-922-8243 or mtoebben@stchas.edu.
