Center Stage Theatre to Present 'Deathtrap' March 6-10 at SCC
Published: 02/05/2013
The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, March 6-7; 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7; 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 8-9; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10.
“I am very excited to be working on Deathtrap. The story is filled with twists and turns,” said David. “Our goal is to keep the audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish. And with any luck, they will come back again to see what clues they missed the first time.”
“Deathtrap” tells the story of an acclaimed playwright, famous for his theatrical thrillers, who has had a recent string of flops and misfires. He is ready to try anything to reverse his fortunes even if it means bringing the killing off the page. He begins to collaborate with a young student who has written the beginnings of a top-notch thriller. Through a series of twists and turns, the characters’ real intentions all begin to shine through. The trap is set. Not everyone will make it out alive.
Cast members include: Mitch Coe, a former SCC student from Arnold, as Sidney Bruhl; Kim Avants, of Weldon Spring, as Myra Bruhl; Mike McPartland, an SCC student from St. Peters, as Clifford Anderson; Claudia Staude, of St. Charles, as Helga Ten Dorp; and Wes Meinhold, an SCC student from St. Peters, as Porter Milgrim.
