Social Dance Classes Begin Sept. 12 at SCC

The eight-week classes will be in the dance studio at the College Center on the SCC campus, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. Classes will be held from Sept. 12-Nov. 4.
 
Dance instructors Landwehr and Mayer are former professional champion dancers with more than 25 years experience in dance competition and instruction.  
 
Dance instruction is available in various dance forms, including foxtrot, waltz, rumba, swing, samba and tango for all skill levels, ages 14 and up.  The spacious dance studio has a floating wood dance floor, mirrors and air conditioning.
 
Registration is $46 per person. The following eight-week social dance classes are available:

Sundays, Sept. 12-Oct. 31  

• Ballroom II ­(Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Swing): 11:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m.
• Ballroom I (Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Swing): 12:55-1:55 p.m.
• Imperial Swing Basic I: 2-3 p.m.
• Imperial Swing Basic II: 3:05-4:05 p.m.
• Basic Country Western Line Dance: 4:10-5:10 p.m.
• Jitterbug Swing I: 5:15-6:15 p.m.

Mondays, Sept. 13-Nov. 1

• Ballroom III/Samba I: 5:50-6:50 p.m.
• Ballroom I (Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Swing): 6:55-7:55 p.m.
• Ballroom III/Waltz II: 8-9 p.m
• Ballroom II (Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Swing): 9:05-10:05 p.m.

Tuesdays, Sept. 14-Nov. 2

• Imperial Swing Basic I: 6:55-7:55 p.m.
• Imperial Swing Basic II: 8-9 p.m.
• Hustle (Disco I): 9:05-10:05 p.m.           

Wednesdays, Sept. 15-Nov. 3

• West Coast Swing I and II: 5:50-6:50 p.m.
• Ballroom I (Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Swing): 6:55-7:55 p.m.
• Ballroom II (Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Swing): 8-9 p.m.
• Nightclub Two-Step I: 9:05-10:05 p.m.

Thursdays, Sept. 16-Nov. 4

• Imperial Swing Basic I: 6:55-7:55 p.m.
• Imperial Swing Basic II: 8-9 p.m.
• Imperial Swing Basic III (Lindy): 9:05-10:05 p.m.
