SCC Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda Receives Awards, Qualifies to Compete in National Conference in July

The conference featured competitive events for individuals and teams, leadership training, workshop sessions and election of officers for the next year.
 
The SCC chapter of Phi Beta Lambda was recognized for their fundraising efforts for March of Dimes March for Babies. SCC student members of Phi Beta Lambda also received awards at the conference.
 
SCC student Justin Hanna of St. Peters, Mo., placed 3rd in Accounting for Professionals, Charles Albers of St. Louis, Mo., received 3rd place in Economic Analysis and Decision Making, and Elizabeth Walker of Troy, Mo., placed 5th in Word Processing.
 
Hanna and Albers also qualified to compete in their events at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn., July 9-12.
 
Phi Beta Lambda is an educational association of postsecondary student members preparing for careers in business. There are over 11,000 active members in the United States. Missouri has more than 400 members in 22 chapters.
