SCC to Present Faculty Oboe Recital on April 1

Walker will perform alongside SCC staff accompanist Dolly Jy-Yu Hsu. The recital will include works for oboe d’amore and piano, including an original composition, “Fantasy Variations on a Theme by Mahler,” recently composed by Walker.
 
Prior to becoming a faculty member at SCC, Walker held many professional positions, including principal oboe of the Orquesta Sinfonica de Guadalajara, the USAF Heritage of America Band, and the Orquesta Sinfonica del Ecuador. Walker has also served on the music faculty of the National Conservatory of Ecuador.
