The annual Dove Awards were presented in July by Saint Charles Business Magazine to honor women who motivate, support, and promote their fellow female peers.

“Tammie is committed to making a difference in our community and we are proud of all she has accomplished,” said Amanda Sizemore, director of the Workforce Development Department at SCC.

De Los Santos has 14 years of experience working with youth in a variety of positions that have included counselor, teacher, director, and board member. As part of her job at SCC, she is involved with the St. Charles County Alliance for Business, Learning, and Education (ABLE), an organization she helped develop in 2008 that promotes career readiness and educational programs for middle and high school students throughout St. Charles County. She currently is the coordinator for ABLE.

Prior to joining SCC, De Los Santos worked for Boonslick State School for the Severely Handicapped and for Youth In Need. She is a member of the St. Charles County Youth Council, the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, Partners for Progress Education Committee, and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree, is a certified Adult Education and Literacy Teacher, and currently is working toward a master’s degree in education with secondary school certification.
