Published: 07/01/2009
Todd Korte, president and CEO of the Korte Company, will be the second speaker in the series. Korte will discuss “Succeeding in Challenging Times” at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 16, in the auditorium of the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building on the college campus in Cottleville.
Korte’s father founded the family-owned general contracting company 50 years ago. Korte began his journey with the company in the warehouse when he was still in high school. After that, he earned a bachelor’s degree in construction science at Kansas State and a Master’s of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
At The Korte Co., Korte has served as a project engineer, project manager, estimator, and vice president. He became the company president and CEO in January 2001. Currently, The Korte Co. is working on a $60 million research center in Las Vegas and $4 million in renovations at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Registration for the event will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by continental breakfast and networking at 7:45 a.m. Korte will be available after he speaks for a question and answer session. There is no charge for the event.
